We are all Alive!!

On March 3, 1996, Bike Week. My friend and our 4 kids were heading to the mall on I-4, when a black MR2 came out of the fast lane heading in the other direction and crossed the median and hit us head on. The Ilumina van we were in flipped end over end and then side to side, coming to an end upside down.
It was a horrific sight to turn around and see our children hanging like bats from their safety belts. I crawled my way to the middle of the van and I heard voices outside asking if they could help and then hands came in the broken window. I put my coat down over the glass and helped everyone get out of the van.
When I got out, I walked over to the car that hit us....the driver was unconscience and the passenger looked to be dead, bleed profusely. There was an open container of vodka and orange juice in the smashed car.
Even though I am sure the driver was drunk, the underage girl was never charged with DUI, only with an open container. No one will ever convince me that there wasn't a police cover up.
