The Magic Deer

My boyfriend and I were taking a road trip to New York. We had just left the movie theater to see the New Star Wars Episode I. He and I had gotten into a little spat during the drive back to the hotel, and we were a bit lost.

My boyfriend looked over at me to say something, and I looked down at my lap, and when I looked back up, we were looking into the eyes of the deer, right before we heard the thud of it hitting the hood of the car.

Both of us were too terrified to speak for the moment, and we looked at each other, then back at the road, at which point, the deer who had hit the ground jumped up and took off running.

We were extremely thankful that the deer wasn't hurt badly (we hadn't been driving very fast anyway, and we actually had a good laugh about the incident.

Hopefully the deer went on to live a happy life. As for me and that boyfriend...we are married with two beautiful girls born on the same day, 6 years apart. A love that can survive a deer accident...now that's magical!
