Still Paralyzed by Fear

My leg was broken when I was hit by a pick-up truck while riding my bike.
When I could finally walk again, I was gripped with fear everytime I saw a car. I was unable to cross the street unless someone went with me and cried everytime I was a passenger in a vehicle.
I finally went to a therapist, but I am still convinced that there will be an accident every time I am on the road. I do not drive and try to take public transportation whenever possible.
I am angry that my freedom has been curtailed like this, because I am still paralyzed by fear. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way back from this trauma.
