Running Late on Wet Roads

One fall morning on the way to work I decide to make a last minute stop. On my way to that destination I realize that I am going to be late for work, so I exited the interstate and took a highway to the office.
It had been raining all morning so, the roads are wet. As usual, on any weekday morning between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. the roads are jammed.
Now, in a panicked hurry I begin getting frustrated with all of the traffic and start to make careless decisions. Before I realize it, the driver three cars ahead of me slams on his breaks, and I am at the tail end of a four car pileup.
Because I was the last one in the crunch, I receive the ticket and an injury from my seatbelt to boot.
