First Time Accident Support

Three months ago my best friend was rear-ended while coming home from work.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured and her car was still driveable.
Although she is an experienced driver and has been insured by the same company since she first started driving, dealing with her insurance carrier was less than easy.
I think that it is sometimes easier for an independent person who has your best interest at heart to step in at times like these. She authorized me to correspond with the insurance carrier on her behalf, meet with the adjuster and obtain repair quotes. I kept her posted at all times as to the status of her claim and this helped free her up to focus on healing from her injury while still having to take care of her family and job responsibilities.
When she did need to meet with someone in person, I went with her to provide an extra set of "eyes & ears" and ask the questions she didn't know to ask.
She often thanked me for taking the time to care and make sure she was treated right. It is such a traumatic and stressful event to navigate if you have never been through it before.
